Story Of Renee:
Renee believes that the practice of yoga has the capacity to align body, breath and mind. After finding herself uninspired and unhappy on the corporate ladder, she took a job at a local yoga studio and immersed herself in the practice. In 2012, she completed a 200-hour vinyasa based teaching certification at Kaia Yoga and never looked back. Her love of learning has driven Renee to complete additional trainings in Prenatal / Postnatal, Restorative, Yin, and Private Yoga, and she is currently enrolled in a 108-hour functional anatomy and kinesiology course. Her in-depth studies constantly inform and evolve her teaching, so she is able to deliver a dynamic practice to her students.
Renee lives and works in New York City as an independent yoga teacher. Her public group classes are held throughout the city, but most of her time is spent teaching private clients. She specializes in creating customized 1-on-1 sessions and working directly with students in their homes and offices. She is currently assisting the 200-hour teacher training at Suryaside Yoga in Queens, where she will work with trainees on intelligent sequencing and teaching private sessions. When she's not working, Renee serves on the board for the Newtown Yoga Festival, an event created in her hometown to foster community, resiliency, and to offer a healing practice in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy.
