Marissa Pavio first started yoga 4 years ago to help heal her injuries from countless years of competitive sports. She immediately fell in love and was amazed by yoga's healing effects. Soon after, she became inspired to dive deeper into her practice and deiced to sign up for a 200-hour teacher training led by Marianne Wells in Costa Rica. During her training, she learned that yoga was more than a physical practice, but a lifestyle that connects the mind, body and spirit.
Marissa teaches yoga at the Relational Center in Los Angeles, a facility that focuses on mental health and equality. Her classes are designed to bring awareness to the self through basic yoga postures, breathing and meditation. She also works as a Registered Nurse and has a certification in Holistic Nursing. Amanda Biccum is a world traveling Yoga Teacher and Holistic Health Coach. She has studied around the world with various teachers from San Diego, San Francisco, and India where she studied, lived and taught for nearly a year. This past year, she developed a 30-day online yoga and nutrition course while partnering with Style Craze.
She teaches a unique style that is heavily rooted in the basics of the Iyengar methodology focusing on proper alignment with the usage of props. Her classes are strong, slow and bring awareness to the inner and outer practice of yoga as a whole. The Biccum Method yoga teaches students how to apply the practice of yoga both on and off the mat. Her philosophy is that yoga is a lifestyle, not something that starts the moment you step on the mat and ends the moment you step off.
